Texas Independence Weekend: Washington on the Brazos

Celebrate Texas Independence Day Saturday, February 28^th, from 10am to 6pm at Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site near Brenham. Admission is free to this experience at “the place Texas became Texas.” The event includes a parade, living history performances, demonstrations, and food trucks. Explore the new Washington Townsite Experience and new exhibits at the museum. Tickets are on sale for $12 for a candlelit Lantern Tour the evening of Friday, February 27^th, from 6 to 9pm.
