At the last regular session of the Huntsville City Council, councilmembers heard a presentation from Jerri Canrado from Lankford Community Management Services and Thomas Duncan from Pape Dawson Engineering that involves a $300,000 grant with no match. The company handles the grant administration, the grant management and compliance. The speakers delivered a GLO-RCP Resilient Communities Program Comprehensive Plan Update in Public Meeting #1.
Duncan said he and his team “have been looking through several existing plans . . . including the 2021 Comp Plan, [the city’s] UDC plan, [the] airport master plan, transportation master plan and. parks and rec’s master plan.” He’ll be checking resiliency.
Canrado explained.
