The Courier of Montgomery County reports that beginning Thursday the 69th Montgomery County Fair gets underway at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Conroe. It will be open through April 19th.
The fair, starting out in 1957 has been held in Conroe with the goal of supporting the county’s youth by way of scholarships and livestock and non-livestock competitions. Starting at 8 AM on April 12th the new “Faith at the Fair” begins and continues through Sunday. The day begins with a cowboy church service at 8 AM. Christian artists will be featured in the afternoon and evening.
Thursday, the fair starts off at 9 AM featuring Senior Citizens Day and continues with the opening of the carnival from 4 to 11 PM. Scheduled to play the first weekend are Country singers Roger Creager and Tanner Usrey.
