The Conroe ISD Attendance Boundary Committee has convened during the 2025 fall semester to review attendance boundaries in preparation for the opening of Kacy Arnold Elementary and Grand Oaks Junior High.
The committee will review several scenarios and anticipates presenting its final proposal to the CISD Board of Trustees at the January 2026 Board Meeting. The Board is responsible for the final decision on attendance boundaries.
In addition to the overall goals of the planning committee, the objectives include:
- Creating attendance boundaries for the new Kacy Arnold Elementary (K-6) and Grand Oaks Junior High, while preserving some room for future growth of these schools.
- Maximizing use of the 800-seat capacity at Grand Oaks Junior High while strategically planning for future boundary movement as the east, and eventually, south side of Grand Oaks builds out.
- Relieving overcrowding at Bradley Elementary, Clark Intermediate, Cox Intermediate, York Junior High, and proactively addressing emerging capacity issues at Hines Elementary.
