Community Impact reports that Sarah Blakelock is the new director of communications at Willis ISD.
Having been the director of communications for the Conroe ISD for more than 10 years, Blakelock brings more than 20 years of experience in education and public service, according to a WISD post on social media.
In her Conroe roll she oversaw districtwide communication platforms, managed messaging and developed community engagement initiatives. She was also involved with printing and graphics services for the district.
At the University of Houston, Blakelock earned her Doctor of Education degree in professional leadership. She has worked with organizations such as Montgomery County Community Foundation, Leadership Montgomery County and Montgomery County Leadership Summit.
