The Courier of Montgomery County has passed along fun events ahead for Downtown Conroe.
Check out Downtown Conroe, there may be some venues you have not encountered in a while such as décor and antique shops, boutiques for women, new restaurants, wineries, a brewery, candles, soaps and jewelry. And, of course, there’s the Saturday Main Street Market.
Don’t forget to get your tickets for upcoming performances at local community theatres.
At the Crighton Theatre through Sunday April 20th, “Shakespeare in Love” is being performed.
There are auditions coming up for “The Wedding Singer” on Sunday April 13. Invited call backs will be held on Monday April, 14th at 6:30 PM. The auditions will be held at the Crighton Theatre. In regard to the local audition, those participating are asked to choose their own song in the same style as the show and range of character being auditioned for. Show dates are July 4th through 20th.
Auditions for Noel Coward’s “Private Lives” will be April 13th and 14th at the Owen Theatre.
On April 10th the First Thursday Concert Series begins and lasts through Thursday September 4th. There will be free concerts at Heritage Park at 7 PM with on-site food trucks with food and beverages permitted. The concert series begins with the music of a tribute band, Escape, who will play the music of Journey. There’s no admission charge.
Coming up April 26th from 10 AM to 4 PM, the City of Conroe will be hosting the Annual Kidzfest on the streets of Downtown Conroe with free admission and fun activities. There will be several “villages” to do hands on learning.
