The Courier of Montgomery County reports that rehearsals have begun for the Conroe Symphony Orchestra who will perform their third concert of the season on February 8th. At the same time, Friends of the Symphony are making plans for their February 22nd Wine Tasting & Dinner FUNdraiser.
On February 8th at 2:30 PM at First Methodist Conroe at 4308 West Davis, the concert-Great Expectations: Music of Gershwin, Bernstein and Copland, will be performed.
Vocal soloist Renee Rybolt will be joining the orchestra on stage. She has a broad range of experience as a soloist, ensemble member, conductor and teacher.
On Saturday, February 22nd, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM, Friends of the Symphony is inviting everyone to the Symphony Center at 1500 North Frazier for an evening of music, wine, and Italian cuisine to support the volunteer Conroe Symphony Orchestra’s future events. Tickets can be purchased at the concert or online. If they’re purchased before February 10th, the price is $100 per person. After the tenth, tickets go for $125.
