As Sam Houston State University prepares for another year of serving its student veterans at the highest level, the Texans Veterans Commission (TVC) again recognized its efforts with the prestigious Veteran Education Excellence Recognition Award. This distinction honors universities and colleges in the state that provide quality education-related services in an effort to significantly enhance the success of military-connected students.
On Thursday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott congratulated Sam Houston State and the 23 other institutions that received the 2024 distinction.
