At this week’s session of the Huntsville City Council, Development Services Director Layne Yeager explained amending the schedule of fees and charges at the Huntsville airport. He explained the information they had on the airport, he said, “Starting out with the hangars, basically we’re taking all the fees that Huntsville Aviation had previously and basically keeping the same fees.”
He added, “What that means is . . . you have a daily rate that is waived for the purchase of fuel. On an airport this is a standard operation in parking overnight. But if you take a load of fuel we waive that minimum amount of fee that’s there to offset with the purchase of fuel.”
He said fuel will be “by the market rate.” There are tow fees but if the plane is fueled up they knock that off. Cleaning services will be extended at the same rate.
Councilmember Jon Strong complimented the airport endeavor.
