Community Impact reports that at the completion of a new facility on October 15th, Oleon’s Conroe plant, was celebrated. Area businesses will be served by their household and industrial products.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company and local officials Thursday initiated the completion of a new esterification facility in Conroe. The facility became completely operational in September. In 2023, Oleon opened its Conroe plant.
From renewable resources, Oleon produces oleochemical products. Their customer list includes WD-40, Chevron Oronite and Castrol. One can find its products daily in lubricants, household goods such as foods, soaps, cosmetics and others.
The esterification, according to plant manager David Van De Gejuchte, will let the company manufacture products such as lubricants, drilling and hydraulic fluids and electric vehicle fluids.
A company from Europe, Oleon has eight production facilities worldwide and is a subsidiary of Avril.
