Community Impact reports that, in order to support student development for the 2026-27 Conroe ISD school year, the district has implemented new learning materials.
An initial report outlining the curriculum integration was reviewed on August 16th by the CISD board of trustees.
New instructional material, Savvas Envision + Math, was presented by CISD Deputy Superintendent Ted Landry to the CISD board. It is being implemented for grades K-12. Specialized training is underway on how to best support the rollout to Campus leads, administrators and department chairs. In order to insure readiness and support, Landry said that as of mid-September both the physical and digital materials had been sent out.
Bluebonnet Learning ELAR, or English Language Arts and Reading program is in its second year. In order to provide districts with a free internal curriculum that covers 100% of the state reading standards, the program was put together by the Texas Education Agency.
As teachers deliver feed back and incorporate additional enhancements funded by several grants, Landry said the district is in the implementation and refinement phase of the program.
For Coursemojo and Untapped Genius, educational coursework programs, CISD has earned grant funding. AI powered, Coursemojo is a teaching tool offering a personalized assistant called MoJo that gives students support and immediate feedback while correcting misconceptions. At 10 campuses across the district, the program is in the onboarding phase.
Part of the Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities is Untapped Genius. The purpose of the initiative, according to the LASO website is to bring in coaches to help improve classroom instruction and build leadership capacity. The program would be introduced, according to Landry, in CISD, which would support the district’s administrators as they implement the Bluebonnet Learning ELAR program for grades K-5.
