Goldenvoice has announced the debut of Ocean Way Festival, a two-day music event scheduled for September 26 and 27 in Santa Monica, California. The festival will take place on the beach between the Santa Monica Pier and Bay Street.
The inaugural lineup will be led by The Killers and Olivia Dean. Jack White, Khruangbin, Sublime, Durand Jones and the Indications, Alvvays, SG Lewis, 54 Ultra, Hiatus Kaiyote, BLOND, Poolside, and Hot Chip are also scheduled to appear.
The event takes its name from Ocean Way, the beachfront street where recording engineer Allen Sides founded Ocean Way Recording Studios. The studio began in a nearby garage before becoming associated with recordings by numerous major artists.
Organizers are positioning the festival as a celebration of Santa Monica’s musical history and coastal setting. City officials welcomed the announcement, describing the event as part of a broader effort to strengthen local culture and bring residents and visitors together.
Ocean Way Festival adds another large-scale Southern California event to Goldenvoice’s live music calendar.
